Pop-up windows on your browser can cause serious problems when you are taking on-line tests. When you click to close these nuisance pop up windows, you accidentally violate the Blackboard protocol for the test window.
This can crash your test.
Your instructor has no way of knowing what happened and you are stuck trying to figure out how to pass with zeros for grades. Instructors get suspicious when you repeatedly request for tests to be reset.
If pop up windows are the problem, then the cure is simple. Download and install a program to stop pop up windows. Useful downloads are available from many sources. I suggest www.zdnet.com.
