Submitting "Word Documents"

  • MDCC provides our instructors with Microsoft Office 2000. This program can read Word 2000, Word 97, and Word 95 formats. It cannot deal with Works documents. Therefore, you must be able to produce "Word Documents" before you can submit them.
  • "Word Documents" that your instructor can read are easily produced in Microsoft Word. They can also be produced in Works and in Word Perfect.
  • Step 1: Produce your document
  • Step 2: Click on "File"
  • Step 3: Click on "Save As"
  • Step 4: The "Save As Box" will appear. At the bottom of the box you should find a drop down menu that says :Save As Type". From this menu, choose "Word Document" then name the file and click on save. You have just produced a "Word Document' that you instructor can read when you submit it attached to an e-mail.
