Williams played Guard for the Trojans and in 1954 received All-State honors. While at SJC he was also a member of the “S” Club, the National Guard, the Future Teachers of America, the YMCA, and the Yearbook’s Sport Editor.
Lloyd Williams continued his education and football career at Northeast Louisiana College. He was a member of the Gulf States All-Conference team in 1956 and President of both the Letterman’s Club and P.E. Majors Club. Williams earned both his B.S. and Master Degree and holds a Masters plus 30 degree.
After college Williams coached football, basketball, and track at West Monroe High School for eight years. He also served as the Director of the West Monroe Boy’s Club for four years, during which time it grew to become the largest Boy’s Club in Louisiana. Lloyd also developed and directed the largest Christian Youth Camp in Louisiana for eight years. In 1974 Williams entered construction for the 22 years before selling his business in 1996.
