The Phlebotomy program promotes professional ethics, teamwork and communications skills as it prepares students for entry-level phlebotomy positions.
The phlebotomy course is a one semester evening class and includes a clinical rotation at an affiliated hospital. Phlebotomy lectures and student laboratory are evenings for 17 weeks. Clinical rotation consists of 120 clock-hours to be arranged by the affiliated local hospitals. The four (4) hospitals affiliated with the program are Grenada Lake Medical Center, Grenada, Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, North West MS Regional Medical Center, Clarksdale, and Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood. The Greenville Clinic and Cleveland Medical Alliance serve as enrichment sites. The total time required to complete the degree requirements is one semester
