Accreditation/ Mission Statement and Goals
Program Accreditation
The radiology program at MDCC has been accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology since 1982. To be accredited a program must demonstrate compliance with educational standards developed by professional in the field. These standards are also recognized and approved by organizations which sponsor the accreditation process. This accreditation agency bases its surveys on a voluntary peer-review system. Although accreditation is not mandated, few programs choose to circumvent the process because certification organizations such as the ARRT require that a student graduate from such a program to be eligible for the certification examination.
