During Durr’s sophomore year the Trojans were 7-2 and earned a trip to the Lion’s Bowl. Durr was named to the “S” Club as a freshman and sophomore.
Durr returned to Louisiana to finish his education after earning a football scholarship to McNeese State in Lake Charles. Norman earned his B.S. and was immediately drafted into the Army where he spent two years in Germany.
After leaving the Army, Durr joined Shell Oil Company where he spent the next 32 years before retiring as senior financial representative in 1992.
