|Mike Carollo, Class of 1968
Induction Class of 2006
Carollo was a starting linebacker for the Trojans for two seasons and was the team’s leading tackler and was elected as permanent Captain both years. Following his sophomore season, Carollo was selected as an All-State linebacker and was chosen to play in the Mississippi Junior College All-Star Game. He was named Honorable Mention All-American that year. Mike was also a member of the “M” Club.
Mike Carollo chose to accept a football scholarship from the Tar Heels at the University of North Carolina. The Chapel Hill newspapers said, “it took Mike Carollo just one game to make a solid impression on the football fans at the University of North Carolina.” Unfortunately, Mike’s football career was cut short by a spinal cord injury.
Carollo has been involved in the automobile business for 25 years and is certified in Finance and Insurance and Ethical Standards for business management.
