My name is Shelia Carter. I serve as Student Navigator for Health Sciences. I am aware that life brings along many challenges for college students today. Financial challenges, balancing the demands of family, and school, all while continuing to be effective in each aspect is a daunting task. This can often be a significant barrier to academic success.
MDCC is committed to provide assistance to empower to succeed, and I would personally love to help you. I can provide assistance with securing scholarships, obtaining adequate housing, assisting with child care payments and other needs. I can also be of assistance with helping with organizational skills, time and stress management, as well as time management skills. In the event that you need further assistance I can contact agencies at the local, state and federal levels that may be able to provide additional resources.
We are committed to your success! Anytime during the semester when you are faced with life's challenges I am available to assist you. Before you allow your grades to suffer or make plans to withdraw, come see me and let me serve you. I look forward to seeing you! You may contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org. I have an office in the Horton Building and in Allied Health. On Monday and Wednesday I am in Horton and on Tuesday and Thursday I’m in Allied Health.
