Five Trojans Named All-State

Five Mississippi Delta Community College Trojans football players were named to the MACJC All-State North Second Team last week according to Jim Southward, Director of Activities for the Mississippi Community College Board.

Trojans selected on the offensive side of the ball were sophomore wide receiver Christian Stephney of Clarksdale and sophomore offensive lineman Josh Cooper of Yazoo City. Stephney ended the season with seven catches for an average of 27 yards per catch.

Defensive All-State players were sophomore linebacker Terrell Williams of Greenville, sophomore defensive back Jalen Jones of Greenwood, and sophomore defensive back Martavis Moore of Benoit. Williams ended the year with 49 solo tackles and 45 assists while Jones had 13 solo tackles, 11 assists and one interception, and Moore had 16 tackles, eight assists and one interception.
