MOORHEAD - Mississippi Delta Community College (MDCC) held its 2018 Academic, Career and Technical Graduation Ceremony Friday, May 4, 2018 in the J.T. Hall Coliseum in Moorhead, Miss. This year, 324 graduates marched in Friday’s ceremony.  Graduates from academic, career, and technical programs were awarded an Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Applied Science (AAS), and/or a certificate from a one-year program.

Beverly Terrell provided music for the prelude and the processional. Dr. Peter Jackson, a member of the MDCC Board of Trustees, provided the invocation with Dr. Ed Rice II, vice president of student services, welcoming and recognizing guests in attendance. MDCC President Dr. Larry Nabors also gave opening remarks with special music provided by student vocalist Anna Marlow. 

MDCC’s Health Science Graduation Ceremony was held Thursday, May 3, 2018 with an additional 72 graduates participating. Thursday’s ceremony included graduates from the Associate Degree Nursing Program, the Dental Hygiene Program, the Medical Laboratory Technology Program and the Radiologic Technology Program. 

Mississippi Delta is a comprehensive community college, which offers a wide variety of academic, career and technical courses in day, evening and online classes. The college also offers workforce training, adult education courses and continuing education courses.

In addition to the main campus in Moorhead, MDCC also offers classes at sites in Greenville and Greenwood as well as workforce training at the Charles W. Capps, Jr. Technology Center in Indianola.

MOORHEAD – Mississippi Delta Community College is pleased to announce its Graduation Ceremony for Academic, Career and Technical Programs will be held Fri., May 6 at 10 a.m. at the J.T. Hall Coliseum in Moorhead, Miss. The ceremony will be streamed live at www.msdelta.edu for those unable to attend.

MDCC offers a wide variety of academic, health science, career and technical courses in day, evening and online classes. Mississippi Delta also offers workforce training, adult education and other continuing education opportunities at its campuses located in Indianola, Moorhead, Greenville and Greenwood.
