MAGNOLIA is the acronym for Mississippi Alliance for gaining New Opportunities through Library Information Access. It is paid for by the State of Mississippi and is available in all public libraries, public elementary and secondary schools, and colleges/universities. Searches may be completed on campus or off campus. For off-campus use, contact a librarian for the password.

MELO (Mississippi Electronic Libraries Online) is the virtual Library for the Mississippi Community/Junior Colleges with links to other online databases, electronic books, journals, and scholarly websites.

The Plant Management Network is a unique cooperative resource for the applied plant sciences. Designed to provide plant practitioners fast electronic access to proven solutions, Plant Management offers an extensive searchable database comprised of thousands of web-based resource pages from the network’s partner universities, companies, associations, and peer-reviewed journals.

SCIRUS is a comprehensive science-specific search engine that allows the user over 415 science-specific web-pages, enabling the researcher to pinpoint scientific, scholarly, technical and medical data on the web; find the latest reports, peer reviewed articles, patents, reprints, and journals that other search engines may miss; and offer unique functionalities for scientists and researchers. While there are numerous sites that offer a wealth of free information, some sites do charge for materials.

The Periodical Holdings List is a comprehensive listing of all periodicals (newspapers, magazines, journals, bulletins) to which the MDCC library subscribes. Patrons should see a librarian to checkout a copy of a desired periodical. |
