Mississippi Delta Community College is proud to host law enforcement training for the officers of the great state of Mississippi. Our Law Enforcement Training Academy, more commonly known as LETA, is accelerating by leaps and bounds. In an effort to produce more efficient and safety conscious officers, we offer our cadets a ten-week training regimen including physical fitness examinations, firearms certification and classroom training in the fields of:

LETA

The Mississippi Delta Community College Law Enforcement Training Academy (MDCC LETA) is a Class I State Academy accredited by the Mississippi Board on Law Enforcement Officers’ Standards and Training to offer all levels of training to law enforcement officers from the Delta region of Mississippi and from across the state.  Training at the academy began in August 1998.  The MDCC LETA provides areas of training in the Basic Law Enforcement curriculum, advanced training, Refresher Course, and in-service training.  The academy is located on the campus of Mississippi Delta Community College, Highway 3, Moorhead, Mississippi.

Age requirements:  21 years of age before certification or a person can be Law Enforcement Emancipated in order to attend. 

Admission requirements:  High school transcript or GED transcriptIF the applicant has 12 or more college ACADEMIC hours then only the college transcripts are needed for admission to the LETA.
