Seven Trojans To Play In All-Star Game

Seven Mississippi Delta Community College sophomores have been chosen to play in the 41st Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges All-Star Game to be held Thursday at Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville.

The seven include running back Roshard Burney (5-11, 219) out of West Palm Beach, FL., quarterback Jaylon Daniels (5-11, 180) from Grenada, offensive lineman Edrick Thigpen (6-3, 325) from Drew, offensive lineman Josh Cooper (6-1, 315) from Yazoo City, defensive lineman Tony Williams (6-0, 260) from Jackson, defensive lineman Jordan Washington (6-3, 265) from Atlanta, GA., and defensive back Cedric Poole (5-11, 192) from Birmingham, AL.

The game will start at 1 p.m. and will feature players from all 14 Mississippi community colleges on two 33 man squads. The MDCC players will participate on the North squad under the direction of Holmes Community College Head Coach Jeff Koonz.
