MDCC Gears Up for Orientation

  • Wednesday, 12 June 2013 16:22

Mississippi Delta Community College is gearing up for Orientation to be held this month.

College leaders have selected a group of students to serve as orientation leaders during the
orientation sessions. The student leaders will be on-hand to assist first-time students and their parents.

Staff and administrators at MDCC are taking a new and improved approach to this year's
orientation. New students and parents in attendance will be welcomed by President Larry
Nabors and other college leaders before separating into different groups. Students will then visit with counselors and advisors while parents attend a special presentation. Students and their parents will then be rejoined at the Welcome Picnic to be held on the grounds.

New students attending Orientation in June will be eligible to win a raffle with prizes of a $100 voucher to the MDCC Bookstore and the grand prize being a Trio Stealth 7" Internet Tablet donated by PMI Computer Supplies.
