The Mississippi Delta Community College Trojans split a conference double header with Itawamba Community College Wednesday at Fulton getting edged 2-1 in game one while winning the night cap 4-2.

The Indians scored both of their runs in the first inning in game one on solo homers and then were kept off the scoreboard by the Trojans’ defense. Jordan Lambert led Delta at the plate with two hits while Ty Dean was credited with one hit and an RBI. In game two the Indians got on the board first with two runs in the bottom of the third inning. Delta tied the game with two runs in the top of the fifth and then took the win with two runs in the seventh inning.

The Trojans’ four runs came off seven hits with no errors and they left five runners stranded.
