Mississippi Delta Community College third baseman Carson Crites was named this week to the Mississippi Association of Junior and Community Colleges’ All-State Baseball Team for the North Division.

The freshman, from Amarillo, TX, was the Trojans’ second leading hitter this season with a .354 batting average. Crites had 52 hits including 11 doubles, two triples and four homeruns with 32 RBI’s and 29 runs. On offense, Crites ended the season with an .843 percentage.

He helped MDCC to a fifth place finish in the North Division with a 12-12 record (one game short of making the playoffs) and a 25-19 overall record.

Mississippi Delta Community College freshman third baseman Carson Crites has been named the MACJC Baseball Player of the week for the week of March 17th.

Crites, a 6’0” right-hander from Amarillo, TX, led the Trojans to a 4-0 week vs No. 13 Northwest MS Community College and Itawamba Community College. Crites hit .667 on the week. He had 12 AB’s with eight hits, two doubles, one homerun, six RBIs, six runs scored, two walks and one stolen base.

The MDCC Trojans are currently 16-8 overall and 7-1 and in first place in the North Division of the MACJC.
