The MS Delta Community College Delta Dancers are energetic and talented performers who represent MDCC at home football games, area festivals and events, parades, Disney World, and on the Carnival Cruise Line.  The group is preparing for its annual spring show “You Can’t Stop the Beat” which will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 1:00 and on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 6:00 p.m.  The 1:00 show on Wednesday, March 26 is FREE to all high school students, and schools are encouraged to bring their students for this exciting matinee performance. Students interested in auditioning for the 2008-2009 squad can meet with Mrs. Upton after the performance.   Admission to the 6:00 show on Thursday, March 27 is $5.00. Everyone is invited to attend.
The audition process for the 2008-2009 Delta Dancers is currently underway.  Students interested in auditioning for the group should contact Mrs. Stacy Upton, Director at (662) 246-6454 or by e-mail at supton@msdelta.edu  to set up an individual audition time.  Delta Dancers receive FULL scholarships to MDCC covering room, tuition, and meals and will enjoy broadening their dance experience in an environment that is fun, nurturing, and supportive.
