Kelly named head of Health Sciences at MDCC

Mississippi Delta Community College is proud to announce Patricia Kelly as its new Dean of Health Sciences.

Kelly attended Washington School and continued her education at Delta State University earning a bachelor’s in medical technology and a master’s in business administration.

Before being named Dean of Health Sciences, she served as Director of the Medical Laboratory Technology program at MDCC. Before that, Kelly was Laboratory Director for Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville.

“I am deeply honored to be entrusted with the responsibility of Dean of Health Sciences. MDCC’s previous Health Science directors have set the bar high, and I am looking forward to working with our students, faculty, administration, staff and community partners to make MDCC the college of choice for educating the next generation of Health Care providers,” Kelly said.

Outside of work, she serves on the national board of Junior Auxiliary and on the board of The American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science of Mississippi.

Kelly and her husband Mike live in Benoit. They have two adult sons, Gunnar and Connar.
