Pathfinders Program

pathfinders
The Pathfinders Program is located on the second floor of the Tanner Building and provides focused strategies geared toward improving the success rates of African-American males. While the focus is on the retention of African-American males, the Pathfinder services are available to all MDCC students. The program aims to increase course completion rates, retention rates and graduation rates by providing strong academic support and mentoring. Students in the Pathfinders Program receive an array of services that include, but are not limited to, assistance with instruction, academic support services, financial aid and student social services. It is our ultimate goal to see the Pathfinder participants gain the confidence and skills necessary to persist in their courses and ultimately graduate from MDCC.
