Associate of Arts Degree (MDCC)

Earning an associate degree is an important milestone in achieving academic, professional, and personal success. General education is the curricular foundation for Associate of Arts Degree students at Mississippi Delta Community College. It encourages students to acquire and use the intellectual tools, knowledge and creative capabilities necessary to study the world as it is, as it has been understood, and as it might be imagined. It also furnishes students with skills, which enable them to deepen that understanding and to communicate it to others. An Associate of Arts degree will be awarded upon completion of not less than sixty-two hours of credit with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00.A minimum of 60 of the required 62 hours must be academic credit hours.

Bachelor of Science Degree (DSU)

The BS in Geospatial Analysis and Intelligence (BSGAI) degree program is not yet formally approved by the appropriate accrediting bodies. Students will initially be enrolled in the BS Interdisciplinary Studies (BSIS) program at the time of application to Delta State University. The two programs of study are highly compatible and students will change, without loss of credit, from the BSIS to BSGAI once the latter is formally approved and offered. We anticipate this will occur no later than Spring 2017 (before MOS-2-Degree students complete their Associates degree).
