Rogers first year at MDCC he went 9-2 on the mound helping win the State Championship. The next year the Trojans finished second in the state but went on to win the Region XXIII Tournament and host the Eastern District Championship posting a 45-12 record and a 20-4 North Division Slate. His record that year was 10-0 and he was named to the MACJC All State Team and All Region XXIII Team.

Kevin was drafted in June of 1988 in the ninth round by the San Francisco Giants and began his professional career with the Pocatello Giants. In 13 starts he struck out 71 batters in 69.2 innings. The following year he started 28 games for the Clinton, IA., Giants going 13-8 with a 2.55 ERA allowing 128 hits in 169.1 innings while striking out 168 batters. The next year Rogers went 14-5 while striking out 186 batters in 172 innings with the San Jose Giants and was named a California All Star. In 1991 Kevin moved to the Shreveport Captains where he went 4-6 in 22 games and struck out 108 in 118 innings. He was ranked the 89th Best Prospect by Baseball American that year. Rogers split time between Shreveport and the Phoenix Firebirds in 1992 and went 11-8 before making his big league debut with the Giants against the St. Louis Cardinals on September 4. He pitched 6 innings allowing 3 earned runs on 8 hits and 2 walks. The former found his niche in 1993 as a reliever. He had a 2.68 ERA in 64 appearances and was named 50th Best Prospect. Rogers continued in the minors until 1998 when he retired.

In 2000 Rogers went to work for Entergy.
