Reagan Ford was a fullback for the Trojans who earned All State honors his freshman year and won the J.D. Stonestreet Award, which is given to the outstanding male athlete. As a sophomore Ford was name Most Versatile Defensive Back and played in the Junior College All Star Game. He was also named a JUCO All- American. Reagan also lettered two years as a catcher for the baseball team. While on campus Ford was named Mr. MDJC, Most Versatile, Most Collegiate, a Class Favorite, and a Homecoming Escort. He was also a founding member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Ford went on to earn a B.S. in Biology at Delta State where he was President of Beta Beta Beta. He then taught and coached at North Sunflower Academy for two years before going to the Southern College of Optometry and becoming a Doctor of Optometry.

As of 2014 Dr. Ford had practiced Optometry for almost 36 years in Starkville and has the only free standing Optical Dispensary in Starkville named the Looking Glass. He is also a community leader who was named Jaycee of the Year in 1982 for compiling and arranging the first MSU Baseball Program.

Reagan Ford and his wife have four children and eight grandchildren.
