Office of Institutional Effectiveness
About Our Office
The primary role of Institutional Effectiveness is to collect and disseminate information about MDCC, and the college community, in an effort to help administrators make informed, data-driven decisions. It also assists with effectiveness planning and various evaluation processes such as research planning, outcomes assessment and survey administration.
MDCC maintains compliance with external reporting requirements to accrediting and regulatory agencies such as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools: Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), the Mississippi Community College Board (MCCB), and the National Center for Education Statistics: Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) through the Institutional Research, Planning, and Effectiveness office.
The grant-writing and grant-management functions of MDCC also fall under this office. Additionally, following areas of the Moorhead and off-campus instructional sites fall under the Office of Institutional Effectiveness: SACSCOC Accreditation, Civil Rights, Counseling Services, the Student Success Initiative, Tutorial Services, and Disability Services.
