Career Readiness Certificates - CRC

The Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) is an industry-recognized, portable,
evidence-based credential that certifies essential skills needed for workplace
success. A statewide comparison of how the seven-county region of the Delta's
residents performed on the Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) is provided by
Rodney Hodges, Program Specialist for the CRC at the Mississippi Community
College Board.

Bronze Certificate - reports an individual's Applied Mathematics, Locating
Information, and Reading for Information levels of skills in relation to the level
needed in 30% of the jobs and occupations contained in ACT's WorkKeys database.
Silver Certificate – skills match 65% of the jobs and occupations in the database.
Gold Certificate – skills match 90% of the jobs and occupations in the database.

Individuals can earn the CRC by taking three assessments:
   Applied Mathematics
 Locating Information
 Reading for Information

WorkKeys assessments measure "real world" skills that employers believe are
critical to job success. The average successful completion rate (at least a bronze)
for the State is 85%; for the Delta it is 84%.

WorkKeys is a job skills assessment system that helps employers select, hire, train,
develop, and retain a high-performance workforce.

Details about the benefits of the WorkKeys system for employers and job seekers
