The Mississippi Delta Community College Development Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit corporation, was established in 1989 to promote and support the educational performance of the college. The Development Foundation has qualified under United States Internal Revenue Department regulations for tax exempt status, thus making gifts deductible for income tax purposes.
Contributions, gifts, and bequests are solicited by the Foundation for the advancement of Mississippi Delta Community College as an institution of excellence.

The Robert W. Steinriede Faculty Development Fund
The Robert W. Steinriede Faculty Development Fund provides full-time faculty, part-time instructors, and staff the opportunity to develop projects that support MDCC's mission in areas including, but not limited to:
- Enhanced student learning and performance;
- Curriculum development;
- Innovative uses of technology;
- Development of instructional activities;
- Development of alternative fiscal resources;
- Professional development;
- Purchase of instructional equipment, technology; and
- Other projects that would not normally be funded by area or departmental budgets.
Payroll Deduction Authorization Form
This form is used by employees to make contributions to The Mississippi Delta Community College Development Foundation, Inc. to support the programs and/or scholarships. This form authorizes the MDCC Foundation to deduct from a College employee's pay.

MAJOR FUNDRAISING (Foundation):
Proposals for major fundraising activities may originate from college employees, alumni, friends of the College, or the Foundation Board. The proposal is then presented on the Foundation Fundraising Form for approval to the President and the Mississippi Delta Community College Development Foundation.

STUDENT AND PROGRAM CLUB FUNDRAISING (College):
Any student club, program club, or any other organization holding fund-raising events through the name association of Mississippi Delta Community College must be a “recognized” club and have a club fund in the Business Office. Sponsors should fill out the College Fundraising Form (see appendix) for any student or program club fund raisers. Fundraisers will run through the College Business Office. Exceptions to this will be fundraisers such as the Nursing Excellence Banquet that is used to raise money for scholarship nursing students. Sales tax will be paid as appropriate on fundraising income.
