Tom Jones only attended SJC for a year-and-a-half, from January 1946 to May 1947 after returning from active duty in WWII. In 1950 Jones signed to play professionally with the Greenville Bucks of the Cotton States League.
In 1967 he went to work for Mohasco Upholstered Furniture Corporation and retired in 1988 as Vice-President of Employee Relations over nine company plants.
