Mississippi Delta Community College announces leadership advancement in College Advancement and Alumni Affairs
Mississippi Delta Community College announces two significant advancements within
the Office of College Advancement and Alumni Affairs. Alan Crews has been promoted
to executive director of college advancement and alumni affairs, and Olivia Nobile
has transitioned into a full-time role as advancement specialist. Both appointments
became effective Jan. 1, 2026.
Crews holds a Master of Business Administration and recently completed an education specialist degree in higher education. He first joined MDCC in 2016 and has served in several key roles, including public relations specialist and advancement coordinator. In April 2025, he was appointed interim director, providing steady leadership and strategic direction for the department.
Nobile holds a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University. She began working with the Office of College Advancement and Alumni Affairs as a part-time staff member on April 1, 2025, and has since played an integral role in supporting advancement initiatives and strengthening alumni and donor engagement.
“I am pleased to announce the promotion of Alan Crews to executive director of college
advancement and alumni affairs and the transition of Olivia Nobile to a full-time
role within the office,” said MDCC President Dr. Steven Jones. “Alan has provided
steady leadership, strategic vision and a deep commitment to strengthening our relationships
with alumni and supporters during his time as interim director. Olivia’s dedication,
professionalism and growing impact have been instrumental to the success of our advancement
efforts. These personnel changes reflect both the outstanding work of these individuals
and the intentional improvements we are implementing to strengthen the Office of College
Advancement and Alumni Affairs.”
In his new role, Crews will serve as the primary liaison to the MDCC Development Foundation, provide leadership for alumni engagement initiatives and oversee comprehensive fundraising and donor relations strategies. He will also manage the department’s budget and oversee the foundation’s database and technical systems.
“When I first started at MDCC in 2016, I never imagined just how much this place would impact my life,” said Crews. “Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to build lifelong connections and witness firsthand the unwavering support of our alumni, donors, faculty, staff and administration. Together, we have strengthened our institution and created new opportunities for our students, helping move both MDCC and the Delta forward. I am honored to step into the role of executive director and remain committed to advancing our mission and expanding the impact of our work.”
As advancement specialist, Nobile will support the office’s mission through donor and alumni database management, coordination of communications and events, assistance with fundraising initiatives and processing charitable contributions to the foundation.
“I’m excited to step into this role full time,” said Nobile. “Working with our alumni and supporters has been incredibly rewarding. It’s meaningful to be part of a team that helps move the college forward while supporting our students and the campus community.”
These strategic appointments further reinforce MDCC’s commitment to cultivating strong alumni and community partnerships and expanding philanthropic support to advance the college’s mission of serving students and the Mississippi Delta.
